How to use this Gluten Free Easter Eggs guide:

For starters, this guide comes with a caveat: always double check the ingredients when buying an Easter egg for someone who is coeliac or gluten free!

Gluten Free? You don’t just have to shop in the free from aisle if you’re only avoiding gluten. I’ve listed all the ‘normal’ eggs that are gluten free here.
Gluten and Dairy Free? Most of the ‘free from’ Easter eggs are gluten and dairy free but I’ve added a good selection of options here.

Chocolate fans, it’s once again time to take a look at the Gluten Free Easter Eggs hot list, with all the favourite gluten free Easter eggs for 2025.

Below I’ve got a long list of gluten free, coeliac-safe Easter eggs in UK supermarkets right now. This is the new version of my 2024 gluten free Easter Eggs guide!

I’ve swept the supermarket shelves of Asda, Co-Op, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose to find all the Easter eggs which are gluten free.

I’ve broken this blog post into two sections for ease: Gluten Free Easter Eggs and Gluten and Dairy Free Easter Eggs.

Important Note:

Just because one brand is gluten free, don’t assume every one of their eggs in safe. For example, some brands the size of the Easter egg determines whether it is gluten free or not (ridiculous, I know) so always double check it’s the exact right product!

Are Easter eggs gluten free?

Not all Easter eggs in the UK are gluten free, but the good news is that a lot of them are.

Most plain chocolate eggs are free from gluten but sadly some have ‘may contain’ warnings which mean they are not coeliac-safe.

Also, Easter eggs sometimes feature other bits and bobs such as biscuit or wafer pieces which will contain gluten.

You can never assume anything is safe but this Easter egg guide should help you navigate the best choices for gluten free.

Are Mini Eggs gluten free?

I get asked this all the time and I’m very happy to report that YES, Cadbury’s Mini Eggs are in fact gluten free, hurrah!

This means you can make all sorts of delicious treats including Mini Egg Brownies, Mini Egg Cheesecake, Mini Egg Cookie Pie and Mini Egg Fudge!

Are Creme Eggs gluten free?

I’m excited to say that Creme Eggs are also gluten free! Both the normal Creme Eggs and White Chocolate Creme Eggs are gluten free and coeliac-safe.

So you can scoff lots of delicious Creme Eggs and make some yummy meals like Creme Eggs Brownies and Creme Egg Cookie Dough Brownies!
