Growing up, my mom always offered her as a meal on her own (usually topped with cut -offs and packs), but it is paired with meat forward dishes like Corn Guysda, Chechens de Polo, and Piranel.

When I grew up eating variations of this dish with different colors beans (kidney, pink, etc.), you are seeing today that dozens of prescription tests have been taken to make this version perfect.

The standards are too high when you are trying to duplicate the family favorite!

You will need to make Uroz to Herbacholas

Many Uros who use Habitolas recipes use some forms of red beans, whether it is pinto, kidney or pink. In my family we prefer pinto beans for their soft, creamy structure.

Step -by -step instructions

Dried beans: If you plan to use dry kidney beans instead of canned, cover them with water one day before planning to make your rice and soak them overnight. See the instruction card for additional details.

Nailing the perfect structure

The most important part of any Puerto Rican rice synthesis is nailing the rice to the liquid proportion. This is the one that determines the faster structure as a final result.

No one likes suspicious rice, just as anyone does not like cheerful, low -cooked rice.

Follow my proportion in the instruction card and you should be good.

If your rice has come out for any reason, this is because you have added too much liquid. It can usually be corrected by turning the heat to the medium and making your rice for a few more minutes, even as most of the moisture is dry.

If the rice is dry and passionate, add a splash of water or broth and continue to cook on a low -covered covered low until it turns and light.

Perfect paternal

As mentioned above, this dish can be completely lonely as eating. It is also great with meat forward dishes. Some of my family’s favorite are here:
