I still have to meet someone who does not love the bars of these guavages. They are one of the sweeteners who do not need to be explained or convinced.
Usually when I leave one of their plates on the counter, they disappear in minutes.
Amrud paste has all the fruits of fresh Amroz, flower notes, which connect with a sweetness (extra sugar) and fry. Just like a berry jam, it is difficult to love.
In these bars, the paste (or jam) is really characterized by the sandwich between the layers of amazing dough (affected by the pieces of berry, I ate older). We are adding a dash of vanilla and lemons to appreciate the fruit. And from there is as easy as keeping everything together, baking and sliding!

Tip: If guava uses guava jam instead of paste, make sure that several hours before the slices (is ideal overnight) let the bars cool in the refrigerator.

You can make this prescription with either guava paste (for thick, more structured rods) or with guava jam (for soft, lozer bars).
If you end up with the guava jam, definitely let the bars cool on the counter top before cooling overnight. Before you cut off the squares, it will give them enough time to complete them completely.

- Prepare the oven and baking dish. Heat your oven on 350*F and apply the square baking dish with leather paper.
- Make a falling mixture. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest together in stand mixer (or cup with spatula or hand mixer). Add the flour at the same time and continue to be hit until the flour is added and the shape of the crushed flour.
- Create the bars. Take 3/4 of the dough and press the baking dish unless the compact layer is shaped. Arrange the remaining flour pieces of paste of guava before falling from top.
