Air Fryer Recipes

Air fryer Edamame – Rachna cooks

Edamame beans in air fryer are my new favourite snack. They need barely any seasoning and come out chewy and crispy. I love their taste. Super healthy too.

Fresh edamame beans are the younger, immature form of soy beans. They taste milder with a slight kick. When air fried, they make for a tasty vegan high-protein snack.

I actually steam them and use in salads and even curries. They taste creamy.

You can also air fry them in pods, but discard the pods as they are tough and not edible. You can store them in an air tight container and consume within a week.

Health Benefits of Edamame

Edamame is high protein, low carb, gluten free plant-based food. It also has vitamins and minerals.

Hence it is very nutritious and healthy while being low calorie.

Some people get gassy with these beans. But, I have not faced that issue at all. Don't have massive quantities at a go if you are having them for the first time.

Ingredients

Edamame: I have used shelled edamame beans here. You can also use frozen edamame.

Olive oil: This helps to adhere the spices to the beans. You can make this recipe zero oil too.

Salt, Garlic powder and Pepper: Very basic spices are added to enhance the taste of the edamame beans.

Nutritional yeast: I love adding it for a nice cheesy taste.
